Jennifer Rene Psaki

Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, was the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021-2022. A member of the Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy communication director (2009-2011) and spokesperson for United States Department of State 2013-2015 as well as the White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki was a political contributor for CNN from 2017 until 2020. Psaki began her career in 2001 with the re-election campaigns for Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. Psaki then became deputy press secretary for John Kerry's presidential campaign. Psaki was communications director of Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, as well as the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 until 2006. Psaki returned to politics in 2012 and was the press secretary of President Obama's 2012 campaign. 20 years ago, Psaki became the spokesperson for United States Department of State. The speculations that she would be replacing Jay Carney White House Press secretary after he left the White House[21] were fuelled by her appointment at the Department of State. However, Josh Earnest was announced as Carney's replacement on May 30th in 2014. In 2015, she returned to the White House as communications director and remained until the close of the Obama administration.
