Kamala Harris

 Kamala Devi Harris, born on the 20th of October 1964 was a prominent American politician as well as a lawyer. She is currently the 49th vice president of the United States. Harris is the first female vice-president and highest-ranking female official of U.S. History, as being the first African American and second Asian American vice president. She is a member of Congress and a former US senator representing California. Harris was born and was raised in Oakland, California. After establishing her career as an Alameda County District Attorney Harris was recruited to San Francisco District Attorney's Office. In the following years, she was the City Attorney of San Francisco. In 2003, she became the San Francisco district attorney. In 2010, she was appointed Attorney General of California and was re-elected in 2014. Harris was the junior United States Senate from California between 2017 and 2021. Harris defeated Loretta Santiago in the 2016 Senate election, becoming the 2nd African American woman to serve in Congress and the first South Asian American American to be elected to the United States Senate. She was a senator who worked for health care and federal de-scheduling of cannabis. A path to citizenship for undocumented migrants. The DREAM Act bans assault weapons and progressive tax reform. National attention was gained for her outspoken questions of Trump administration officials at Senate sessions.
